Know where your magnets came from before Jan 1, 2027.
Magnet-origin evidence for US defense contractors and subcontractors under DFARS 252.225-7052. We find the covered magnets in your purchased parts, sort out the exemptions, and trace the rest through the supply chain.
DFARS 252.225-7052 · applies from January 1, 2027, 00:00 ET
The rule · Jan 1, 2027
DoD contracts can’t include NdFeB or SmCo magnets whose material was mined, refined, separated, melted or produced in China, Russia, North Korea or Iran.
Mine to magnet
So every covered magnet in your purchased parts needs evidence, traced back toward the source.
Where we are
Based in San Diego.
We work with the region’s defense contractors and subcontractors, and we can meet in person.
Example: of 1,200 purchased part numbers, 64 contain covered magnets and 11 need supply-chain tracing. Fictional data.
We bring the evidence. You make the compliance decision.
Provenant isn't a law firm, a certifier or a government body. Our evidence file supports your compliance decision; the determination is yours.
How it works

- 04

We find covered magnets and sort out which parts are exempt and why.
- 05
Supplier tracing
Structured outreach up the chain, with a defined effort per supplier.

Evidence file delivered
Validated evidence you use to make your own compliance decision.
